Is scientist definitely smarter than you?

There are a lot dum people on this planet.

There are also a lot of smart people.

Let's say you have a dum kid and a smart kid based on their high school score. After high school dum kid is sent to university, smart kid is send to BlackSmith. After a couple of years. Dum kid can turn to be a qualified engineer, the smart kid can turn to be a good blacksmith. Who is smarter now? Their knowledge structure definitely has changed because of education. What about the basic intellegence level, will that change accordingly? If they are given a few intellectual puzzles which they can not use the knowledge aquired by their education, who will solve most of them faster? I don't have the answer. But I know, in my high school time, there are some kids, no matter what they are doing now or in the future, they are much smarter than me.

Way too easy to be a "psycho"

I am sick of seeing the word 'psycho' on all type of medias over
and over again. It seems that everybody can be a psycho.

'psycho' does not always have to be a bad thing for some people. It can be used as a good excuse for what ever wrong things he has done under absolute clear mind. If you've conducted criminals, you better make people believe you are a psycho. Many people will understand it, believe me.

Not only the criminals, but also the politics like the word. They have to give the public an answer if some persons conducted serious crime because of social problems. Who is going to take the consequence? They had a good candidate now, a misterious and unexplainable one - psycho. It is nobody's fault, just a 'psycho' accedent. What can be better than that?

People are used to the word and often go to psychologist when they have depression, violance, weight, drug etc issues. As far as I can see, these problems are more related to a person's economical status or self constraints rather than psychological status. I can hardly understand what a psychologist can do to solve the problem instead of making the person futher sucked into the 'psycho' pool.

Just wacth out, you have a bunch of psychoes around you every day. It is easy to join them too.

Will world collapse one day?

There is no doubt that we are living in a trouble era in human history. Energy crisis, global warming, endless of wars and conflicts, economy declines. Human being are greedy by its nature, to protect their current interests they will do anything. Even though we are smart enough to judge from right to wrong, we always pick the wrong choice.

I just wonder if the world will collapse one day.

Simple Computer

Since you are viewing this post, I would guess at a very big chance you own a computer. So my question is simple, what do you do with a computer?

I personally will do following things with my computer,

1. internet browsing, email
2. some simple programming
3. play games, I would still prefer to play on xbox or ps3 though.
4. document editing
5. watch movie
6. listen to music

for my wife (she had her own computer), she basically do 4 things.

1. internet browsing, email
2. listen to music
3. watch movie
4. chatting

And for most of my friends who don't know much about computer but still owned a few. They do exactly the same thing as my wife do.

On the positive side, we should be glad nowadays technology is so advanced that we can do so many different things with a computer. But on the other side, how many of us actually need to fully utilize the power of a computer? Maybe most of us only use 20% of the capability of a computer. Then why do we pay 100% money and use only 20% of its value? Think about the amount of computers and the total waste!!!

I would like to see a simple computer which provides a few configurable basic applications. Less applications means higher security and less wasting. You pay for what you can use. Wasn't that nice?

working at home? Who cares

Working at home is kind of trendy these days. But who knows what people are doing at home. I think it is necessary to have certain rules restricting how many days people can work at home each month. I can think of plenty advantages of working at home for the employees, such as

saving petrol bills
taking care of kids
doing second job
slip out for a while
having a snap
...

but hardly I can find any advantages for employer and other colleagues.

Since it is trendy now, one of my colleagues actually work at home 3 days a week. Some old fashioned guys do make gossips. But who cares...
